TWC WiFi Hotspot Map

The Challenge
TWC WiFi Hotspots map page is reached by customers seeking locations of public TWC WiFi hotspots. The pre-existing page was not responsive, and was very confusing to locate actual hotspots.

My Role
To revise the user experience and create a cleaner interface which is less confusing.

The Approach
When users reach a map page, typically they are searching for a specific location. With this in mind, I wanted to make the search bar visible and easy to use, while keeping the map as the focal point of the page. When results are returned, I felt it was important to keep the map interactive so users can zoom in on specific points. Lastly, the legend had to be clear and easy to read.

Mobile was a challenge, so I had to sacrifice the map to keep the results easy to read. I felt that I was successful keeping the search experience easy to use in moble.
